What values are evident in Kelly’s leadership of Catholic Identity and how does she express these in relation to staff, students and parents?
Kelly lives out the Gospel values in all aspects of her leadership and this demonstrated in her relationship with staff, students and parents. She is an authentic Catholic leader: faith filled, spiritual, a practicing Catholic and always true to her word. Kelly not only supports and nurtures Catholic Identity, she is passionate about its importance for Catholic education.
Kelly’s faith and Catholic identity is at the core of her actions and is displayed in the way she approaches staff members and students. She is caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable about every person.
Kelly has a wonderful caring manner when interacting with staff, students and parents. She is open to sharing her faith and invites others to do the same. She is warm and generous and has a great understanding of her catholic identity and a willingness to share her ideas and thoughts. Kelly goes out of her way to build relationships between the school and the parish and allows others to put their trust in her. She is a true steward leader. She is always ready to put her hand up to support the priests and the parish and activates others to live out their faith in mission and service.

Kelly demonstrates many valuable qualities of a leader: including respect for others, collaboration with staff, good communication skills as well as an awareness of what is going on in the school to name a few. Kelly openly collaborates together with staff to share her vision and listens to feedback from those involved to guide her decisions. Kelly makes herself available to teachers and parents. She is very child focused in her decisions.
Kelly is very compassionate and understanding and makes the staff feel like we can go to her with any issues knowing she will listen with an open mind. Kelly is non-judgemental and will always do her best to accommodate the needs of others (staff, students and parents) to the best of her ability. Kelly’s sense of humour and ability to see the positive in every situation also makes her a positive role model and someone to enjoy being around.
Kelly actively endeavours to create an educational environment which is student focused. She shows a commitment to the process of learning and has had a focus for those students who are in need of different approaches to learning. Kelly makes herself available to parents, students and staff and is willing to support in any way possible.
